How Tujuvia turns a travel post into a place on your map
Tujuvia is an Android travel-planning app for turning places mentioned in social posts and web pages into a private, usable map. Instead of leaving a cafe, hotel or viewpoint buried in a saved-post folder, you share the post with Tujuvia. The app reads the public content, identifies possible places, matches them to real venues and keeps the results together for later.
In one sentence: share a public link, check the places Tujuvia finds, save them to your map, then use those places to build a day-trip route.
1. Share or paste the source
On Android, tap Share in TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or another app and choose Tujuvia. You can also paste a link into Tujuvia or type a place manually. The source must be available for the app to fetch; private, deleted or restricted posts may not work.
2. Read the public post
Tujuvia fetches the public parts of the link needed to understand it. Depending on what the source provides, that can include the caption, on-screen text, cover image, slideshow images, public poster handle and a transcript. A TikTok slideshow can therefore contain useful place names even when the caption does not.
The app shows its progress while it reads and interprets the post. You can leave that screen while processing continues.
3. Identify the places mentioned
The post text and images are analysed to find venue names and location clues. One post can produce several possible places. This stage identifies what the creator appears to mean; it does not yet guarantee a particular branch or address.
4. Match each mention to a real venue
Tujuvia uses the venue name and likely area to look for a real place. A successful match can include its name, address, coordinates, category, opening hours and a photo. Google Places is the main place-resolution service and OpenStreetMap Nominatim is used as a fallback.
Automated matching can choose the wrong branch or use information that has since changed. The result is shown so you can check and correct it. Read the detailed accuracy and limitations guide before relying on a result for a booking or long journey.
5. Save it to a private map
Matched and manually added places live on your map and are grouped by city. Saves, collections, trips and notes are private to your account; Tujuvia does not have a public social feed. You can remove a save later, and deleting your account removes its saved data from the active database.
6. Build a trip from your places
Choose saved places for a day out, cafe hunt or staycation. Tujuvia estimates driving times between their coordinates, orders the stops and creates a plan. When you are ready, it hands the route to Google Maps. The plan is an estimate rather than a booking or guarantee of current conditions.
What data leaves the app?
Different services receive only the part needed for their task: post text and images for place identification, venue names and an area for place matching, and coordinates for route estimates. Device location is used only when you request a location-based feature and is not stored or tracked in the background. The full service list and retention rules are in the privacy policy.
